This is typically viewed as nonsensical, a ton of people normally consider it unreasonable, many individuals feel irritated when this subject is talked about. It is ordinarily, politically inaccurate particularly in the environment that we are right now where everybody is truly worried about wrongdoing against ladies.
But this is a topic we need to address because it's much needed, especially if we believe that equity is the privilege of each individual paying little heed to their sex.
Regardless of how relaxed or unpretentious they sound, some cliché proclamations simply drive you insane each and every time. Here are the most well-known ones.
1. Be a Man
Different people have different perceptions on what it is to be a man. The meaning of a man had fluctuated from ability, performance, and behavior. Some consider masculinity to be absurd and oppressive, some see being a man, as strong and powerful.
The common stereotype of being a man can have a lot of outcomes on society and men themselves.
Presently, a man is portrayed best as being bold, solid, and tough. Despite the fact that these attributes are valid for men in certain circumstances, a man is genuinely characterized by the manner in which he presents himself with confidence, maturity and integrity.
2. Having Mustaches and Beards Make You Look More Like A Real Man.
There's a quote, “You don't just grow a beard, you grow a personality’. People, nowadays, truly would not joke about this.
It gives the face a more symmetrical shape, making it more appealing. It shows that the man is mature and has sufficient testosterone. It’s atypical because most men choose to shave, so you’ll stand out more.
But a beard won’t make you any more or any less attractive. Attraction relies upon the person looking at you. Everyone is unique and has various tastes.
3. Why a Pink Shirt?
In a world that distinguishes sex based on colour, pink is best left to women. A man appears to be less masculine if found wearing or something pink. Pink is just another color and does not judge the manliness of the person wearing it. History discloses to us that pink wasn't always a lady colour. The Fashion Institute Technology's museum director Valerie Steele (American historian) tells about the eighteenth century, when men were known to wear pink silk suits that had floral designs. In recent times, pink has made a comeback in men's style steps like these are necessary to free the society of such unwanted flaws.
4. Have a Manly Figure.
You are so weak. Men should have a muscular figure. Society has decided what they consider to be normal and those who don't fit have to feel as if they are lacking. No one should be forced or pressurized to change their form or figure as long as they feel comfortable and are not facing any health risks because of their form. If someone is pleased with the way they are, then these kinds of statements only make them doubt themselves and force them to overthink about something which should not have been an issue in the first place.
Another aspect men face is the matter of being thought of as appealing.
Being equipped with lean muscles and a toned body is not a necessity to be perceived as attractive. You need to feel attractive to be attractive.
Everyone should feel at home in their own body and should not see it as something which needs change or improvement.
5. Why Do You Not Drink?
Drinking is not for you to look cool.
It's a choice. But sometimes men who drink make the others feel as if they are not man enough or strong enough (the second one really doesn't make any sense). How can consuming any particular product make you more manly?
This is absolutely absurd thinking and people need to know that whatever choice they make, they are one hundred percent in the right.
Men who portray the ones who don't drink as not man enough really need to sober up before putting forward such opinions.
6. You Have Such a Feminine Voice, You Talk Like Girls.
Often, boys or men having high pitched voices are made fun of, especially in their boy gangs, and this becomes a major cause of distress in their lives since there is no way for them to change this attribute and all they can do is learn to live with the taunts.
What we need to understand is that there is a need to normalise the occurrence of such diversity. Having a high pitched voice is not something which should be seen as undesirable.
Men just want people to not see such diversities as something alien. We don't need to go out of our ways to make them feel secure. We just need to change our mindset because that's what's making them feel insecure and lowering their confidence.
7. Men Do Not Feel Pain, Real Men Don't Cry!
Men also have tear ducts and a good cry never hurts anyone.
Expression is the principle, remedy to psychological well-being. It is important for men to be offered the means to communicate. Most men have never truly spoken their hearts out.
Crying is a healthy expression of emotions for sadness and frustration. And we ask young men not to cry and maintain a strategic distance from or shut down these feelings.
Studies have shown that men have a higher frequency rate for substance abuse as women. Moreover, as per the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Georgia, United States) men are more likely to commit by suicide than women.
The possibility that 'real men' don't experience pain, is so hazardous.
In real life, real men experience psychological issues. They feel pain. They do cry. They feel weak. They talk about feelings because an individual does not turn out to be real by masking himself.
8. Why are you Blushing Like a Lady!
It is common among boys to tease each other and pry into each other's personal lives. Some boys don't feel comfortable with discussing their personal lives in a group and they consequently have to listen to others making fun of them for being shy and not 'opening up'.
Firstly, no one can raise questions on a person's nature as everyone has the right to feel the way they want to. And secondly, it's not right to pressurize anyone into doing something he does not want to do.
Men need to realize that it's their right not to share any information which they don't want to and that they don't need to feel bad about not opening up where they don't want to.
9. You Don’t Know How to Ride a Two wheeler.
Knowing how to ride a two wheeler is important as it could come in handy, but this should be applied to each individual and not just men as it's not just men who would need to make use of that skill, any one could face such a situation.
Moreover, people really do fear riding a two wheeler and in that case this is not something which they should be criticized for.
10. For you it is easier. You are a man.
It is true that women often get the short end of the stick, neither is it always easy being a man. Gender equality is essential but for some women's activists to believe that only women can suffer problems is wrong. This is toxic and needs to be stopped.
